About Don

Don, Sidney and their daughter Izzy live with their dog, Lady, not far from E.K. Powe Elementary. He's volunteered throughout the community--picking up trash, planting trees, cleaning up abandoned cemeteries, building playgrounds and homes, serving on boards. It's a labor of love, for his beloved community and his family. He works hard to make Durham a great place for everyone.  His extensive background includes nonprofit work, for-profit business experience and cooperative business development. He's built businesses, created jobs and protected the environment.
